Acidity

Acidity

People complain of acidity, gas, burrps. Many a times you do not eat anything through out the day, just 2 square meals thats it and nothing at all, and still have lots of gas and acidity, how does this happen. Your stomach keeps secreting juices to digest food and when it does not get any food to act on it acts on stomach linning which causes acidity, heartburn i.e the presence of excess acid in the stomach .

Other causes
Intake of rich and spicy foods
No proper eating technique, eating speedily, under stress
Inappropriate sleep
Too much of tea intake
Alcohol

Remedy for Acidity

Take a small part of jaggery (gur) in your jaws and slowly suck it.
Take watermelon, banana or cucumber each hour.
When you feel heartburn, take few almonds
Acquire one piece of clove and suck on it gradually
Chew up a few basil (tulsi ) leaves
Have lemon water with mint n ginger

Try and correct the root cause, whether it is too much caffeine or long gaps between meals, you won't then need to search for any remedy.

It's not what you eat, but what you digest that counts too

It's not what you eat, but what you digest that counts too

What you eat is only half the battle in getting the needed nutrition to your millions of cells that rely on that nourishment for everyday functioning. You are what you eat, but you are also what you absorb.
You can eat all the food you want, but if your body can't assimilate your protein, carbs, or fats, it doesn't do you any good.

If what you eat makes you cramp, bloated, gassy, etc., you are not absorbing it so what's the point? This is a especially true for people with digestive issues.

Failure to fully digest your meals can lead to poor muscle growth, lack of energy, and even bouts of depression.

So if you want a better body, it's not just what you eat. It's how you eat, too.
