Enjoy happy and healthy father’s day

Enjoy happy and healthy father’s day

DAD a son's first hero
 a daughter's first love

Father’s Day is just around the corner, which means it’s time to put on those thinking caps.Dads are known to give their all when it comes to supporting their family and friends, but in doing so they often neglect their own health. Maybe it’s just a stubborn streak or not wanting to take the time to visit their doctor – but men are notorious for not getting even a basic checkup.

Let’s face it, who likes to get a physical or blood tests or take a stress test or see the dentist or optometrist? No one I know.

But some dads may need a little extra pampering and a reminder that these medical visits are important. We want dad around for a long time.

Here’s a short list of the most important things you can do to stay healthy:
•Get a health assessment. A snapshot of your father's medical health can be a lifesaver — literally. Get recommended screening tests like Bone health assessment, Blood pressure check, Cholesterol test, Diabetes/blood glucose test.

•Be tobacco free.
•Be physically active.
•Eat a healthy diet.

•Stay at a healthy weight.
•Take preventive medicines if you need them.
•Get a nice massage. Massages aren't meant just for professional athletes and stressed-out mothers.  but dad can  and should  get  a stress-reducing massage.

Father’s Day is a great day to celebrate fathers. It’s also a great day to take stock of  your father’s  health and well being, to help Dad enjoy many more Father’s Days.
